INTRODUCTION:-

The method described here is used by the experts to know the time of death of the dead body that may have come for      the forensic examination. The time of death of the murdered body can be determined ( approximately) by using a  differential equation using Newton’s law of cooling.

A FORMAL STATMENTS:-

A deadbody is found by the police supposedly to be murdered and the body is sent to the Police department to estimate the time of death. The body is kept in a room with a constant temperature of 70 degree F.
For some time after death the body will radiate heat in the colder room causing the bodys temperature to decrease(according to Newton’s law). Here we assume that the temperature of the body was 98.6 degree F (normal body temperature) at the time of death.
The expert will try to estimate the time from bodys current temperature and calculating how long it would have had to lose heat to reach that point.
